The Practice of Commercial Real Estate course is part of the Real Estate Associates Program (REAP) and is intended for individuals wishing to be licensed in commercial real estate. This course builds on the concepts introduced in the Fundamentals of Real Estate course. RECA has made every effort to ensure that the Practice of Commercial Real Estate course is specifically focused on developing the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities that new real estate professionals need for commercial practice.

The Practice of Residential Real Estate course is part of the Real Estate Associates Program (REAP) and is intended for individuals wishing to be licensed in residential real estate. This course builds on the concepts introduced in the Fundamentals of Real Estate. Rise has made every effort to ensure that the Practice of Residential Real Estate is specifically focused on developing the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities that new real estate professionals need for their residential practice.

This career-oriented course incorporates relevant information, clear explanations, practical examples, applied activities and application-oriented self-assessments, and immediate feedback geared to today's real estate practitioner.  After completing this course, real estate professionals should be able to competently represent sellers and buyers in their residential transactions.


This course provides the foundational knowledge and professional competencies required for regulatory compliance. The Real Estate Associates Program (REAP) consists of this pre-licensing course, Fundamentals of Real Estate, and one pre-licensing practice course: residential, commercial, property management, or rural. You must complete both courses and pass both exams within 18 months from enrollment in this course to become authorized by RECA as a real estate professional in Alberta.
